ABOUT JULIA

I´m a 18 year old Barebow archer from Sweden. My home team is called Stockamöllans IF. My journey began on my birthday, the  1st of March 2016 where I began training for the first time. 

I´m a Freshman  High School where I study to become a truck driver.

At first I didn´t want to compete but after the first competition I was hooked.

Already during my first year as a barebow archer I won a regional record.
At my second and last year in that agegroupe I beat my first records several times.
But didn´t succed at the National Youth Championships.
 

The summer of 2018 everything got in to place and I had a really good outdoor season with a lot of experience and  new medals.

Swedish senior championship outdoor 

Senior target women individually, third place.

Swedish youth championship outdoor  Cadet women field, second place; Cadet women 3D ,third place; women cadet target individually, third place.
The indoor season 2018-2019 started of nice but in December "target fright" struck me like lightning and for the rest of the indoor season I focused on finding a  way to handle it.
When it was time for the Swedish senior indoor championship my hopes weren´t that high and I didn´t know what to expect. But I got through the competion and was able to reach the final round.
A week later it was time for the Swedish youth indoor championship I was really nervous  but I had some really good rounds during the finals, but in the semifinals  I had some bad rounds and lost. During the bronze match nervousness hit me hard but I could handle it and won. It felt really nice after a hard time combating my "target fright".

Now I look forward to the outdoor season of 2020.
